NTPC commissions unit-V of Barh project in Bihar

State-run NTPC today said it has commissioned the fifth unit of its Barh thermal power project in Bihar.
"Unit V of 660 MW of Barh project has been commissioned," NTPC said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchange.
The company said, "With this, the total installed capacity of Barh-II has become 1,320 MW."
The total installed capacity of NTPC also rose to 43,803 MW, comprising of 39 NTPC Stations (17 coal-based, 7 combined cycle gas/liquid fuel based), 7 joint venture and 8 renewable energy projects.
Shares of NTPC were trading at Rs 156.30, down 0.73 per cent on the BSE.
