'NTPC Dadri implementing all environment protection laws'

National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited today said that it is taking all necessary steps to protect environment.
While replying to thequestions of mediapersons, Group General Manager (Dadri) Debasis Sarkar said that all statutory rules for environment protectionare being implemented on regular basis in Dadri.
NTPC is following all environment protection laws andis also providing medical facilities in the nearby villages and 247 eye operations were carried out successfully under Eye Care Camp organized at NTPC Dadri, he said.
He was speaking at the Media Interaction Programme organized at Maharatna NTPC's National Capital Power Station, Dadri today.
He also mentioned about the Solar Thermal Cooking System set up at the Main Plant Canteen for cooking food by using solar energy.

He also mentioned about various CSR activities such as infrastructure development, education, health, sanitation and hygiene and Rural Sports in the nearby villages under Corporate Social Responsibility.
