This was informed to the state government when NTPC chairman-cum-managing director (CMD) Arup Roy Choudhury along with his officers met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here today.
NTPC made a presentation before the state government officials on the proposed 500-bed medical college hospital project to be implemented at an investment of Rs 400 crore, a release issued by the Chief Minister's office said.
Noted architect Hafeez Contractor had been assigned for designing the proposed five-storied medical college hospital at Sundergarh, it said adding there would be facilities for 500 medical students, staff and others.
The proposed health service institute with a campus area of about 21 acres, would have at least seven super specialisation departments, the release added.
