Obama and Michelle would leave White House for Martha's Vineyard on August 9 and return from their annual summer vacation on August 24.
On Monday August 11, the Obama will attend a Democratic Party fund raising event.
On August 17, Obama alone would be back at the White House where he would spend the next three days having meetings, the official statement said without giving any further details.
