Occultist lynched after 'sacrifice' of old man

Infuriated over alleged sacrifice of a 60-year-old man, some unidentified persons lynched an occultist in Vaidpura area of the district and later resorted to sit in on busy Etawah- Mainpuri road here this afternoon.
Baijnath, was working in agriculture field when he was allegedly hacked to death and his severed head was offered at a Kali temple outside Banamai village, police said.
Infuriated over the incident, the villagers lynched the 'tantrik', Karua (35) alias Pushpendra, and also resorted to sit in on the road for sometime in protest, a police spokesman said.
