Odisha man held for murder in lodge

A 35-year-old man from Odisha was today arrested on charges of murdering his wife at a lodge here last week, police said.
The man, identified as Dilip Mohanty, was detained in Odisha and brought here by the local police.
The 30-year-old wife of Mohanty was found dead with her throat slashed on April 30, police said.
Investigations revealed that the Mohanty had killed her following a quarrel and escaped with their one-and-half-year-old daughter.
He allegedly committed the murder after the family had offered worship at the famous Ramanathasamy temple here.
