The decision in this regard was taken at a high level meeting presided over by finance minister Pradip Kumar Amat here. With the setting up of 45 new courts, people will get a court every 50 km apart in the state.
Earlier, the Orissa High Court had recommended new courts in the state, law minister Arun Kumar Sahoo said.
The government will set up 45 different level courts like family court (3), additional district judge court (5), judicial magistrate fast-track court (22) and civil judge (senior division) court (15) this year.
