Mohapatra began the campaign by flying kite, party's symbol granted by the Election Commission last month, on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti yesterday.
"The target of my party is the Assembly election (scheduled this year) and I aim to occupy power in the state. We'll use the next month's CMC election as a small step towards that," Mohapatra said after launching the campaign of his party here.
In fact, the CMC elections would be the first testing time of Mohapatra's party in electoral politics as the party failed to contest the Bhubaneswar civic body elections held earlier this month.
