Old man trampled to death by elephant

An old man was trampled to death by a stray elephant today at a village in Nilgiris district of the state, forest officials said.
The incident occurred when man had gone to attend nature's call around 5 am at Pakna village when the elephant caught hold of him and trampled to death, they said.
In another incident, three women workers at Nilakkottai town in Dindigul district were injured as they ran through tea bushes after being chased by an elephant, they said.
