Wang Ti, 32, was sentenced in early December for scamming 27 people, including Yang Wei and Yang Yun, former Olympic gymnastics champions, according to Beijing No 2 Intermediate People's Court.
Wang, who is appealing the court's verdict, obtained more than USD 9 million through cheating, the China Daily reported today.
At the time she was carrying out her scams, Wang was the girlfriend of Xiao Qin, an Olympic gold medalist at the 2008 Beijing Games in the pommel horse, it said.
