"Omar has wasted nearly 6 years of his rule in J&K. Instead of making fresh announcements, the chief minster should have been giving the report card of his achievements," PDP patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed said, addressing a function where JD(U)'s Jammu unit offered to support Yashpal Sharma, PDP candidate from Jammu for the Lok Sabha elections.
Sayeed said there was a clear "wave of anger against the ruling (NC-Congress) coalition" in the state, which was making announcements in panic.
The NC-led government is visionless in its approach and that is why it has not been able to work for the benefit of people, he said, taking aim at NC's manifesto ahead of the 2008 assembly elections.
Sayeed picked holes in that manifesto, saying the party failed to fulfill its promises especially regarding autonomy to the state and removal of AFSPA, and was trying to fool the people again.
