One arrested for smuggling gold

Customs officials have arrested an Indian citizen for allegedly smuggling Rs 50 lakh worth gold from Singapore.
Airport sources said one Sarbudeen, a Chennai resident, was found hiding two kg of the yellow metal in his shoes.
He was arrested late last night upon his arrival from Singapore, the sources added.
