One coach of Falaknuma Express derails in Odisha

One coach of the Secunderabad -Howrah Falaknuma Express train Thursday derailed near Kapilas Road railway station in Odishas Cuttack district but there was no report any casualty, railway officials said.

The guard-cum-luggage bogie, the rear most coach of the train jumped from the rail, an East Coast Railway (ECoR) official said.

The official said that the derailed coach is being detached from the train and Faluknama Express will start moving on its way soon.

There has been no much damage to the railway track and also no report of any casualty, he said adding that the train movement in the line has not yet been affected.

The additional divisional railway manager (ADRM) of Khurda Road, S P Dwivedi was on its way to the derailment site. The senior officers from Cuttack and sectional track supervisors have already reached the place, official said.
