One dead in a clash over children brawl

An 80-year-old man was killed and ten others were injured in a clash between two groups of a family in Thanipur village under Gopiganj police station area here today, police said.
Rival factions, belonging to a family, had a dispute last night over a brawl between children, police said, adding that this morning they attacked each other with lathis and iron rods leading to death of Munni Lal Bind.
Ten others, including the wife of the deceased were injured, of whom seven with serious injuries were referred to hospitals in Varansi and Allahabad, they said.
An FIR has been filed against five people of opposite faction who are absconding, police added.
