The incident happened in village Pinglish in Tral, 45-km from here, yesterday, they said.
Ghulam Mohammad Dar died instantly and three others were injured in the house collapse, police said.
Dar, who had planned to reconstruct his house, was supervising the demolition work when the tragedy took place.
The injured were admitted to a hospital, police said.
