The accident happened yesterday when the duo was returning from Nagla Teli when their motorcycle was hit by the speeding vehicle, they said, adding, Jeetu, who belonged to Alhepur village under Kayamganj Kotwali in Farrukhabad district, was killed on the spot.
Gautam, who was severly injured in the mishap, hails from Bangaon village under Kotwali Etah city. He has been admitted to a local hospital from where he was referred to Agra owing to his serious condition, police said.
An FIR has been filed in this connection and the matter is being investigated, police said.
