One dies, five taken ill in food poision

A four-year-old child died and five others of a family fell ill after eating food at home at Sindhiakhurd in this district, an official said today.
Sujit Kumar (04), son of Manoj Thakur, and his other brothers and sisters ate a stale item made of pulse at home last night, Samastipur Block Development Officer (BDO) Bhubneswar Mishra said.
Soon all of them started vomitting.
Sujit Kumar died on way to hospital while five others were admitted to the Samastipur Sadar Hospital in serious condition, the BDO said.
He said the food item had been sent to laboratory for test.
