One held for possessing ganja in Goa

Goa police today arrested a person for allegedly possessing ganja from Calangute beach village, 10 kms from here.
One Sudarshan Deo (35), a native of Odisha, was arrested after a raid for possession of the narcotic substance, said police.
Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi said they had received information that the accused was moving around with drugs for selling purpose on Calangute beach.
"Accordingly a team was formed and a raid was conducted. During the raid ganja weighing 240 gramswas seized from the accused person," he said.
The accused person was placed under arrest under the NDPS Act.
