One jawan injured in gunfight with Maoists

A jawan of the India Reserve Battalion was today injured during an encounter with Maoists on the borders of Pakur and Godda districts.
The police were on patrol when the Maoists opened fire near Ladah-Dopahari jungle, injuring the jawan, Pakur Superintendent of Police Mayur Patel told reporters here.
While some of the Maoists fled, four rebels were overpowered and arrested, Patel said adding, some weapons were recovered from their possession.
The injured jawan has been referred to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi, the SP said.
