A woman identified as 25-year old D G Momin died on the spot and 35 others were injured, when the truck went off the road on Monday last, they said.
The truck was returning from a weekly market at Chokpot, which is about 50 km from district headquarters town of Baghmara when the accident took place at Raja Ronggat village, a late police report said.
The police report said the driver lost control of the vehicle and the police are mulling of punitive action against the driver.
On February 26, 17 people were killed when the truck ferrying 79 passengers rammed into a cemented railing.
The driver was charged with negligence and rash driving.
