Vijay Gupta, a businessman who was presently residing in Mangolpuri in Delhi, was returning with five others from his home town in Farrukhabad after attending a family function, they said.
While they were travelling on the Yamuna Expressway, a tractor trolley came in front of his vehicle and driver rammed into it after losing control.
All the injured were admitted to a private hospital where Gupta died during treatment, police said, adding the condition of five others was stable by late evening but not out of danger.
