A clash broke out between the activists of the two rival political parties over digging of a pond at Budra village near Kharagpur town last night, police said today.
Prabodh Patar (53), who was injured in the clash, succumbed to injuries in the Midnapore Medical College Hospital while eight others injured in the clash have been admitted to the hospital, they added.
In another incident, the CPI(M) party office at Kotbazar in Midnapore town was set on fire last night, police said.
