The incident happened near Garra village under Nuaon police station and the deceased has been identified as one Vireen Ram (70). His relative Budhan Ram is undergoing treatment at Bhabhua Sadar Hospital.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Suresh Kumar said, "The two persons were returning after relieving themselves in the open today morning, when a speeding truck traveling on Buxar - Bhabhua Road hit them. Vireen died on the spot."
The body has been sent for postmortem, and the police is searching for the truck and its driver.
