One of the four jawans, who were killed in a fierce gunbattle with militants in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday, is a resident of Rajasthan's Alwar district.
Jawan Surendra Singh Takshak and three other jawans lost their lives in a gunbattle with the militants during an operation launched in Haphruda forest in Handwara in Kahsmir Valley following information about presence of militants there.
A militant was also shot dead in a separate encounter in the district.
Takshak's funeral will take place with full state honour, which is expected to be held tomorrow in Behror tehsil of Alwar, according to Soldier Welfare Board.
