Tarun Sharma, son of a criminal lawyer here, was shot dead by his friend Lavindra at the former's residence in Swami Para area here on Monday, following a tiff between them.
A complaint was lodged against Lavindra by Tarun's father, after the accused has been arrested today from near the Kankerkheda bypass, police said.
Upon interrogation, Lavinder has confessed to having murdered Tarun from his .32 bore pistol, they added.
