Caught in the crossfire, one Om Prakash received gun shot wounds, Kamboh police station SHO Jagjit Singh Chahal said. He has been admitted to a hospital.
Business rivalry was the reason behind the brawl between the two city based wine contractors who fired several rounds at each other along the national highway on the outskirts of the city following an argument, the official said.
Nearly one hundred gun shots were fired on Amritsar bypass during the clash where two vehicles were also damaged.
Both the contractors and their men immediately fled the spot after the incident leaving behind the damaged vehicles and a bleeding Om Parkash.
