The Opposition Congress and the BJP today slammed the BJD government in Odisha for "failing to meet the minimum requirement of the people" despite ruling the state for about 18 years.

Initiating a debate on the Odisha Appropriation Bill, 2018, Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra of Congress said, "How can anyone support this Bill when the BJD government has utterly failed to provide safe drinking water, teachers to schools and doctors in hospital, despite remaining in power for 18 years."
