The incident occurred this evening when their bus was on the way back to Thivim from picnic.
"One student and a teacher from St Annes School in Thivim were seriously hurt and 20 others received minor injuries when their bus fell into a ditch," a police spokesperson said.
"The bus, carrying 63 students, was returning after visiting Selaulim dam in South Goa. The accident happened around 6.30 PM," the official said.
Two, including a teacher named Nilima Jha, were referred to district hospital in Margao town, as they suffered serious injuries.
Police said total eight school buses had gone to Selaulim dam on picnic today.
