Over 32,000 cattle meant for smuggling seized along borders

A total of 32,400 cattle heads have been seized along various Indian borders this year while they were being smuggled out, government today said.
A maximum of 25,843 cattle were seized along the Indo-Bangladesh border in West Bengal followed by 3,772 cattle heads in Assam along the same border.
Similar instances were also reported during the same period from along the Indo-Nepal and Indo-Bhutan borders of the country, Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju said in a written reply to Lok Sabha.
