As many as 1075 plots have been taken back from industrialists who have failed to start units in MIDCs across Maharashtra.
Industries Minister Subhash Desai said notices were sent by MIDC to 4000 industrialists who had failed to utilise the plots alloted to them.
He said this would help those industrialists who wish to invest in the state expeditously and show results.
Giving details of steps taken by the government to boost industrial investment, Desai said the process of permissions, licenses for starting businesses has been streamlined.
There will be a single window clearance for businesses worth more than Rs 100 crore.
