The four accused, identified as Vipin Sharma and his wife, both residents of Bhiwani, Gaurav Kumar of Kaithal and Gunjan Dixit of Uttar Pradesh, they said.
The trickery began on June 27 when one Chaddha, called up Golden Huts hotel manager Rohan Singh, claiming to be an executive of a production company, to book some rooms in the hotel for the company's administrative directors.
The accused quartet then occupied those rooms by evening of June 27 in the hotel, situated on national highway 8 near Dharuhera here.
Next morning, Sharma, lodged the youths in rooms which were reserved for them in the same hotel. While they waited for the audition programme to begin, Vipin Sharma and his partners collected their laptops and mobile phones.
Later the two accused women were sent in a taxi, arranged by the hotel manager, to Gurgaon to bring their cameras for the audition. Some time later Vipin and Gaurav too stealthily sped away in a car, owned by one of the youths, on pretext of fetching costumes for the audition.
However, on June 30 police recovered the stolen car, which belonged to one of the youths, near Dwarka metro station in Delhi.
As per complaint filed by the hotel manager, police has registered a case of cheating and criminal breach of trust against the four accused, who have not been arrested yet.
Meanwhile, the police has ascertained that the quartet had committed a similar crime in Jaipur and duped several youths on pretext of auditions in December last.
