Delhiites today woke up to an overcast sky with humidity level rising to 77 per cent.
The minimum temperature recorded this morning was 27.8 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal.
The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 36 degrees Celsius, the officials said.
The weatherman has predicted light rainfall and thundershowers during the day in some parts of the national capital which might bring some respite to people.
"The sky will remain generally cloudy. Light rain/thundershowers would occur in some areas," a MeT official said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.3 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal, while the minimum settled at 27 degrees.
