The 72-year-old actor won National-award for beautifully portraying a Progeria-affected child in the 2009 film, which starred Abhishek Bachchan and Vidya Balan as his parents.
"'PAA' released today 5 years ago!!! Thank you Balki for this 'innovative' creativity... NOW... 'SHAMITABH'... Booommbaa!!," Bachchan posted on Twitter along with stills from Balki's next 'Shamitabh'.
Amitabh, who is currently in Ahmedabad shooting for his upcoming movie 'Piku', posted a picture of him touching his mother's feet.
"Mother and child are the greatest blessing of life... It is the most powerful symbol of love, of affection, of care... Of continuity... There would be no world without Mother...," he wrote.
