Pak army top brass meet to discuss security

Pakistan's army chief Gen Raheel Sharif today chaired a high level meeting of top commanders and officers to discuss the security situation in the country.
The 180th Corps Commanders' Conference undertook a comprehensive review of operational preparedness of the security forces.
The army said that progress on the continuing operation against militants was reviewed in the meeting. Other professional matters of army also came under discussion.
The meeting also reviewed the implementation of the National Action Plan, which was adopted after the Peshawar school attack of December 16 to eliminate militancy from the country.
The meet coincided with a meeting between foreign secretaries of India and Pakistan in Islamabad.
