At least 12 militants have been killed in aerial strikes by Pakistani fighter jets in the country's restive north-western tribal region close to the Afghanistan border, the army said today.
The militants were hit this morning in the Khyber district.
Pakistan Army did not give any details about the identity of those killed and the toll could not be verified through independent sources.
The Khyber region bordering provincial capital Peshawar was stronghold of Mangal Bagh who overlords Lashkar-e-Islami militants.
Bagh is an ally of Taliban and is regularly targeted by the security forces.
