Addressing a seminar at his residence at Hyderpora here, Geelani, who met Pakistan Prime Minister Nazwaz Shairf's aide Sartaj Aziz in Delhi, said that he advocated stability in Pakistan as it was imperative for the struggle of the people of Kashmir and also urged Islamabad to ensure protection of minorities living in the country.
"There should be stability in Pakistan. Whatever is happening in Balochistan, Karachi and Khyber Pakhtoon Khwah should be controlled as the stability of Pakistan is imperative for our struggle.
He also defended use of arms but said that his faction will continue to use peaceful means to raise the issue of Kashmir.
