"Pakistani Rangers resorted to small arms firing and mortar shelling along IB in R S Pura sector of Jammu district since 2200 hours last night," a BSF official said today.
They targeted eight border outposts (BoPs) and some civilian areas, he said adding that Pakistani Rangers also fired 81 mm mortar shells.

There have been three ceasefire violations along IB in Samba, Arnia and R S Pura in February this year.
In January this year, Pakistan resorted to several ceasefire violations resulting in death of four people and injuries to seven people.
