Pakistan appoints new foreign office spokesman
Press Trust of India Islamabad Additional Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry has been appointed the new spokesman for Pakistan's Foreign Office, officials said today.
Chaudhry will replace Moazzam Khan, who has been Pakistan's Deputy Permanent Representative at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
Chaudhry took charge as the spokesman today.
He was earlier the ambassador to the Netherlands and has considerable expertise in India-Pakistan relations.
Chaudhry was Additional Secretary (South Asia) at the time of the Mumbai attacks in November 2008 and was part of the team of Pakistani diplomats that handled the fallout of the attack on India's financial hub.
