"We prefer to use UAE as a neutral venue because its weather conditions, environment suit us and there is a large expatriate community of South Asians in the region," a board official said.
"Plus playing in the UAE is also cost effective for us and also allows us to make some profits," he added.
The first Test will be played in Abu Dhabi from October 14-18 followed by the second from Oct 23-27 at Dubai.
The limited-over matches will be played at Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

5 Oct: South Africa arrival
8-10 Oct: 3- warm-up match (venue TBA)
14-18 Oct: 1st Test - Abu Dhabi
23-27 Oct: 2nd Test - Dubai
30 Oct: 1st ODI - Sharjah
1 Nov: 2nd ODI - Dubai
6 Nov: 3rd ODI - Abu Dhabi
8 Nov: 4th ODI - Abu Dhabi
11 Nov: 5th ODI - Sharjah
13 Nov: 1st T20 - Dubai
15 Nov: 2nd T20 Dubai.
