The programme at Tagore Centenary Hall in the evening will feature Pandit Jasraj accompanied by his disciples Pandita Tripti Mukherjee, Pandit Ramesh Narayan and Pandit Mohan Sharma and Aditya Narayan Banerjee, Vijayaraghavan, Secretary of Kozhikode-based cultural organisation Kala, told a press conference here today.
The two and half hours long live concert "Gokulotsav" is jointly organised by Kala, Calicut, the Mewati Swati Pracharan Sang and Pandit Motiram Narayan Sangeet Gurukul, Kerala.
"It is definitely going to be a milestone for the Mewati Swati Gharana when Pandit Ramesh Narayan's ancestral home at Kannur is donated to the Mewati Swati Gharana for its promotion," Vijayaraghavan said.
On the occasion, Pandit Jasraj will announce the inauguration of 'Mewati Swati Kala Gramam', he added.
