Pantaloons Q3 net loss widens to Rs 42.78 cr

Pantaloons Fashions and Retail Ltd, a part of the Aditya Birla group, today reported a net loss of Rs 42.78 crore for the third quarter ended December, 2014 due to higher expenses.
The company had reported net loss of Rs 15.66 lakh in the corresponding quarter a year ago, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
Pantaloons' net sales during the quarter under review were at Rs 441.14 crore, up 7.39 per cent as against Rs 410.75 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Its total expenses grew by 13.10 per cent to Rs 462.07 crore compared with Rs 408.52 in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Shares of the company closed at Rs 122 apiece, down 0.04 per cent from their previous close on the BSE.
