Bihar MP Pappu Yadav today raised protocol issue when Finance Minister Arun Jaitley along with other Ministers got on to the stage for MoU signing for setting up multi-crore locomotive plant in his constituency.
He objected as to why local MPs were welcomed after the Railway officials.
"MPs aapko officers ke baad kyu yaad aate hai. Ye theek baat nahi," Janadhikar Party (JAP) chief and lawmaker, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav said after welcome speech was made by a senior Railway Ministry official.
Yadav represents Madhepura Lok Sabha constituency of Bihar where electric locomotive manufacturing plant is going to be set up.
It will be a joint venture between Indian Railways and Alstom of France.
When Minister of State for Railway Manoj Sinha got up to address, Yadav intervened.
Taking note of this, Jaitley requested Yadav to come up to the stage and put forth his point.
The Finance Minister also requested officials to make sitting arrangement for Yadav while he was making points about fair compensation to be given to farmers who are going to lose land.
Yadav also requested the government that compensation should be on the basis of 2013 Act and a family member of land loser should also get a job in the plant.
"There will be compulsions if the interest for farmers are not protected by the government while setting up the plant," he threatened.
