Parl attack convict's son scores 95 pc marks in 10th

Ghalib Guroo, son of Parliament attack convict Mohammad Afzal Guroo who was hanged three years back, has scored an impressive 95 per cent marks in the 10th standard examinations conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Examination.
Ghalib secured 474 marks out of 500, according to the results declared today.
He has secured 'A1' grade in all five subjects.
Ghalib's performance in the examinations became a talking point on the social media with separatists lauding the boy "for excelling despite hardships".
Afzal Guroo was hanged to death on February 9 in 2013 following his conviction in the Parliament attack case.
The topper was a boy from Awantipora in Pulwama district. Earlier, girls had been dominating the exams for a few years.
Tabish Manzoor Khan scored 498 marks out of 500 in the examination while Aneesa Haleen and Hiba Intikhab bagged second and third position, respectively.
