Political parties have only used Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar's name for their "vested political gains" but never did anything to ensur that his dreams are fulfilled which the BJP would do, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said today.
"Various political parties have so far only used Babasaheb's name for their vested political gains, but never did anything to ensure that his dreams are fulfilled," Maurya said.
The dreams of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar -- the architect of India's Constitution -- will be fulfilled by the BJP under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he added .
Maurya said this at the 126th Ambedkar birth anniversary celebrations at the party's UP unit headquarters.
"Prime Minister had himself gone to Nagpur's 'Deekshabhoomi' today to participate in a programme. The BJP government has done everything to develop the places associated with Babasaheb and his legacy. Some of them in London and Mumbai," Maurya said.
He also said that the UP government will follow Ambedkar's philosophy, while ensuring that the fruits of development reach the last strata of the society.
He also appealed to party workers to download the BHIM app.
