"Traders associations in the district have come forward to support our agitation", former MP and Nagapattinam district DMK secretary A K S Vijayan told reporters here.
He said road blockades at more than 100 places would be held in the district on November 29 and blockades of trains will be held at Mayiladuthurai, Sirkazhi and Nagapattinam.
Representatives of CPI, CPI(M), DYFI, IUML and Davheeth Jamath attended the meeting. Parties like DMDK, PMK and Dravidar Kazhagam have also extended their support, Vijayan said.
