Addressing a seminar on 'Dr B R Ambedkar's vision and the Constitution of India' organised by the Panjab University here, he praised the Dalit icon for tirelessly working towards strengthening the country.
The Social Justice and Empowerment Minister said that he felt proud of being a part of the government which was working towards preserving Ambedkar's legacy and converting important places linked to Baba Saheb's life as 'paanch tirtha' (five sacred places).
Speaking on the occasion, Justice Balbir Singh Chauhan, chairman of Law Commission of India emphasised on Ambedkar's vision in progressing together, irrespective of caste and religion.
He also dowelled in detail about the vision of Ambedkar with respect to status of women in society, uniform civil code and family law and inheritance.
