It was a cool Thursday morning in the city, with the minimum temperature settling at 18.7 degrees Celsius, normal for the season.
Partly cloudy skies are forecast for later part of the day with the maximum temperature settling around 39 degrees Celsius, said a MeT department official.
Humidity was 69 percent at 8.30 AM, he said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 17.6 and 36.8 degrees Celsius, respectively, on Wednesday.
