BJP attacked the Congress governments in Assam and Kerala, alleging they have become "synonymous with bad governance" and people are keen to get "rid" of them.
"In Assam, there is a lot of corruption and law and order is in bad shape. Infiltration is a big concern and people are looking at the BJP-led alliance with hope. We will provide a good alternative," party National Secretary Shrikant Sharma said.
Assam will go to polls in two phases on April 4 and 11 while election in West Bengal will be held in six phases on April 4 and 11 (under Phase one), 17, 21, 25, 30 and May 5.
Sharma accused the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government in West Bengal of failing to fulfill its promises and said it had "belied" the hopes of people who voted it to power to remove the Left front.
