According to the police, the deceased, identified as Vijay Kumar, a resident of Punjabi Bagh area was admitted to the Deen Dayal Upadhaya Hospital two days ago.
"He left his bed, reached the fifth floor of the building and jumped down. By the time, he could be given medical aid, he succumbed to his injuries," a police official said.
Police have recovered a suicide note from him in which he said that he was depressed as he was jobless and had been keeping ill for some time.
