Paul unfurls the tricolour in Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand Governor K K Paul today unfurled the tricolour and took the ceremonial salute by contingents of the army, paramilitary and police personnel to mark the 68th Republic Day.
The ceremony took place at the Parade Ground in the presence of Chief Minister Harish Rawat and a host of senior government officials including Chief Secretary S Ramaswamy and DGP M A Ganpati.
After the Governor hoisted the National Flag to mark the occasion he was given a salute by the army, ITBP, Sashastra Seva Bal and homeguard personnel.
Earlier, Paul also unfurled the tricolour and planted saplings at Raj Bhavan to mark the occasion.
He paid tribute to the country's constitution makers saying they did not just give us our fundamental rights but also taught us to be responsible citizens.
